I first met Susie at one of her networking events in Altrincham and little did I know then that she would be interested in an upper eyelift as she was hiding her eyes behind her glasses.
I also didn’t know that she had sadly lost her husband in a tragic accident and was so sorry to hear that.

“This wasn’t about trying to look younger,” Susie said. “It wasn’t about vanity. It wasn’t about pretending grief never happened. It was about looking like myself again. The version of me that grief had quietly taken away.
“Some people may judge me for having cosmetic surgery, but losing Ian taught me one thing above everything else. Life is unbelievably precious. We only get one chance.”
It was the thought of turning 50 in January this year that prompted Susie to do something about it, so she had an upper blepharoplasty – a surgical procedure to repair droopy eyelids.
Susie Sprigg is based in Stockport and is a networker, events organiser for female businesses and a serial entrepreneur.
