Advocate for an Upper Eyelift
We met Susie Sprigg originally at the Women in Business North networking event where she ran an event in Altrincham, Cheshire which aims to support women in their transition to becoming a confident entrepreneur.
What I like most about these networking events are that they are friendly but also structured, so there is a chance to introduce yourself and your business around the room, then we have a learning session such as “How to Network” and finally, after having heard about everyone’s businesses there is an opportunity to say how you can help another member’s business and possibly work together in collaboration.
I’ve attended some further events which have been organised as a result of these introductions and have learned a lot such as how to improve your eating habits or how to communicate and negotiate with your partner which was taught by Bernadette Willems, who is a mediation specialist for workplaces and separations. Her kindly manner makes you feel calm and at ease when you meet her so she is definitely in the right role.
You can find out more about her and her business online at The Mediation Specialist here.

Susie without her Specs!
I managed to catch up with Susie at another event, not long after her eyelift surgery with us and she was still wearing the glasses she had hidden behind for a long while as she had really noticed that after she had suffered from the bereavement of her husband, that her eyes were never the same. She was looking great, but she was still wearing the glasses, even after her cosmetic surgery so I had a word with her to find out why she was still wearing her glasses!! It turns out that choosing her new glasses was proving more difficult that she thought and it was a job on her list of many, but we had a chat and she realised it was no use having an upper eyelift and looking so much better, if you couldn’t even see them!
Thankfully, here she is showing her beautiful eyes which were renewed and refreshed with a simple upper eyelift which takes years off the clock!
She’s in good company as we also did an upper eyelift on Dawn Ward. of The Real Housewives of Cheshire, back in the day which was filmed as Mr Gerard Lambe performed the operation live!
Upper Eyelift Consultation
After having known us a for a while from networking events across Manchester and Cheshire, Susie mentioned that she would like an upper eyelift herself.
She did further research on our website as well as checking out the before and after photographs on our socials to see what could be achieved from her surgery.
She then booked in for a thorough consultation about her eyes, including what she didn’t like about them and how they could be improved, with Mr Lambe at HCA Hospital in Wilmslow, Cheshire,
Here she is looking at previous before and after eyelift photographs that Mr Lambe had previously done. After her consultation, Susie decided to go ahead with her surgery.

Upper Eyelift Surgery Day
She read her eyelift information sheets and FAQs thoroughly and came back to us with a couple of questions which Jayne was very happy to answer for her.
We always have thorough consultations which are held in a relaxed environment so that patients can think clearly and after being assessed on their suitability for the particular procedure they are interested in and that they are in good health and have realistic expectations of what they can expect from their surgery.
They then have time to think and plan the surgery into their schedule.
Once you know when you are available, then you can
Minutes After Surgery
Here’s a close up of Susie having just had her upper eyelift surgery, complete with hair net and gown so that maximum safety and hygiene is maintained during the process.
Over the years Reflect has performed hundreds of eyelifts (sometimes known as upper blepharoplasty or lower blepharoplasty).
Mr Lambe noted that she was very bright and breezy on the day and after just 45 minutes her eyelift was complete!
We even sent in our preferred photographer, Aga in to get the best shots of the process, even she said she loved the assignment and the time flew by! (Instagram @Aga_Mortlock_photog)
If you are considering having an eyelift too, Mr Lambe uses a technique whereby he removes the skin and stitches the upper eyelid skin back together using the “one stitch technique” which ensures maximum comfort for the patient at the time and when it’s time to remove the stitch around a week later, then the process is painless and the knot at one end of the stitch is snipped off and the thread is removed in one go by simply sliding it out of the skin. Simple!

Since then Susie has gone on from strength to strength, expanding her networks, buying into some franchises and even purchasing a “doer upper” house to achieve her long term plan of moving to Scotland.
