Manchester’s Finest!
We got around last week and were lucky enough to be a guiest at Susie Sprigg’s table at the SheInspires Awards at Bolton Wanderers Stadium in North Manchester.
The event was presented by magnificent Michelle Eagleton in her usual professional and fun style and my she had a lot of finalists and winners to get through from the host of hard working women locally, nationally and internationally!
It was great to see Michelle again as she sets the tone perfectly and is a huge supporter of women in her personal and professional life!
Here she is hosting the awards and looking super glamorous to a packed room of women!
Table Guests
We were lucky to have a fun table including Phil and Susie Sprigg and Sarah Stephens (of Instagram @Sarahstephenspr) The traffic was busy that night and luckily one guest made it just in time! Kerry Bowland and her partner braved the traffic and she just about made it for the Finalists line up as they had a chance to traverse the red VIP carpet laid on at the stadium. Amongst the finalists was Alison Blackler who is an Author, Mind Coach and Ted X Speaker (Instagram @Alison2Minds) who is on hand to cheerlead and push your beyond your self-imposed limits!
So pleased for her as have known her a while now and she oozes kindness and compassion, which I feel is just what you need in her job!

Susie Sprigg who’s aim in business is to “bring women together to grow their business and be more visible”.
You may recognise her from her upper eyelift journey on our socials! Now she has got new contact lenses, you can see what a huge difference it has made to her eyes (look out for our December campaign on all our socials, showcasing Susie!)
I first met her at a Women in Business North event in Altrncham, Cheshire where she hosted the WIBN and she is true to her word for empowering women. She also organises Show Your Light Events (instagram @Susie_Sprigg)

Another Winner!
I was also pleased to see Sarah Louise Birdsey of Nicholls Solicitors win an award for “Employer of the Year”! Am sure she will attract even more great staff with an accolade like that as good employers are few and far between! So great to know that she is also a local Cheshire girl!
Sarah bought Nicholls Solicitors and has gone from strength to strength, even winning “Small Law Firm of the Year” (Instagram @NichollsSols who specialises in divorce and civil partnership dissolution along with child arrangements, pre-nuptual and post-nuptual agreements. It is based in 228A Stockport Road, Manchester.
Inspirational Woman
It was the first time I had the pleasure of meeting Gulnaz Brennan, Founder of She Inspires Awards.
She told her own inspirational story, that 11 years ago. SheInspires was “just an idea: a simple belief that women’s stories deserved to be seen, celebrated and remembered”.
Little did I know the global event that was to unfold as I made my way through heavy traffic from South Manchester to North Manchester!
Thanks for the invite Susie, it was one of the best events I’ve been to in a while and it was great to see so many women who are making a difference in their communities, locally, nationally and in fact globally!
