Cheshire’s Alice in Wonderland Tea Party

Cheshire Ladies

Oh wow. it was so kind to get an invite from the inimitable Sue France from Connecting Cheshire who has semi-retired but seems as busy as ever!!

This event was at The Dormouse Haven restaurant which I’d never been to or heard or but my what a hidden gem it was!

We shared a table with a couple of newbies as well as the wonderful Sarah Osborne of @SoNutrition who came with her daughter and specialises in providing nutritional advice to people who. have ADHD and autism.

We also shared the table with Sandra Czachur from @HomeSweetHolmdale who specialises in homeinteriors, clothes and food and calls herself an accidental influencer! Here you can see her hands only to the right but she has quite a following of 21.K!!

Hidden Gem in Northwich, Cheshire

I can’t tell you enough how this restaurant’s afternoon tea was outstanding and the lady who served us gave us a full run down of the afternoon tea selection including sausage rolls and even pink scones with raspberry and thyme (delish!) It’s very well hidden in Cheshire, so be careful not to drive past it, but there’s a decent car park so that you can enjoy high tea with your girlfriends! You’ll have to book first though! Phone: 01606 853241Address: Bridge Farm, Warrington Rd, Northwich CW8 4QUMenu: Available at dormousehaven.co.uk

Interior Design Delight

Everywhere I looked was. a delight to behold from mice in tea pots to hand made ornamental wreaths and cushions, which thankfully were available to buy.

I spotted a beautiful cushion (see below) and Sandra too loved it, so I knew I had great taste!!

So, if you’re after a memorable day in a fancy setting with delicious food, then this place in Cheshire is well worth a visit!!

Female Business Owner

We were kindly introduced to the concept of the restaurant which was Alice in Wonderland and all the weird and wonderful happenings there.

What I realised is that I shared a lot of her interior design taste as we had the same table, rug and side table, but she had upped the game somewhat with her hand painted Alice in Wonderland picture and of course the selection of home wares on offer!

Despite it being so wacky, it was also very homely!

Fashion Flair

I had to get this shot of Nina D, originally from Sweden, (Nina is on Instagram @NinaDHome) but now living in Altrincham, Cheshire who is a luxury homewear designer (can you tell?) and was bang on theme with her oversized bow tie!!

We listened avidly as part of the ice breaker at the event we had to write on our name cards, something the other guests didn’t know about us, which ranged from singing in front of the Pope (Katie Webster Instagram @Katiewebster_wealth) to having Harry Styles from One Direction staying in your spare room!)

Inspirational Women

As always, It was wonderful (well it is wonderland!!) to be re-energised by these wise and witty women.

Here’s Sue France introducing a singing teacher (who had a wonderful aura) and watched by Sarah Birdsey (of @SarahLBirdsey family solicitors). The ladies were from many different areas from charities to personal trainers and it was great to start the week off with a difference!See if you can recognise or even spot yourself in the photographs below!
